In Memory Of My Father.

Dad

I just wanted to post a farewell to my dad who passed away on Saturday morning. He was a man who loved the simple life, but was such a complex individual. I can best describe his caring and generous heart as “a man who would give you the shirt off his back and have another in his back pocket to give you.” I am grateful for the years I had with him, although sad that adult life got in the way of living.

We didn’t spend much one on one time together in the past few years, but we remained in solid contact and left nothing unsaid, and no issues to contend with. There remains a huge void in my heart and soul that I know will never be refilled. Thank you, Dad, for the kindness, the guidance, and for you through the years. I wouldn’t trade ANY moment of it for anything in the world.

Those are very nice and accurate words, Paul. Very hard to write, I can only imagine. Still, there is some peace in knowing you were in contact with him on a level that most father/son relationships don’t reach. Every single time I spoke with your dad, he treated me like one of his good friends. Between you, your father, Johnny, Big John and Betty – heck, the whole side of that Miller family – I feel like you guys are a special breed because generosity, kindness, and respect just oozes from you all. It’s genuine and it does not go unnoticed. I can only imagine that your dad had a hand in instilling some of these traits in you. This online memorial is very nice…the words heartfelt and beautiful. As I’ve said before, you all are in my prayers.

Paul I am so sorry for your loss. You wrote a beautiful memory of your dad. Just remember he will be watching you and guiding you on your way through life. Just listen.

Mike just lost his mother on the 21 of December.

God Bless and watch over you always.
